Position Summary: **

MSI is currently seeking applications from qualified candidates for potential long-term and short-term technical staff and consultant positions for an anticipated five-year USAID funded justice and security project in Honduras. This anticipated project is intended to promote rule of law through more effective and accountable judicial institutions, promoting human rights, community policing, and working with civil society organizations to serve as watchdogs over justice and security actors.

MSI seeks Technical Specialists in the following areas:

  • Judicial Reform and Accountability
  • Criminal Justice Reform (Investigation and Prosecution)
  • Crime and Violence Prevention
  • Community Policing
  • Human Rights

Qualifications:

  • Law degree or advanced degree in criminal justice, political science, human rights, or international development.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant professional experience, particularly in prosecution, investigation, or judicial functions.
  • Demonstrated experience working with justice and security sector institutions, as relevant to position, preferably in Honduras or other relevant LAC countries.
  • Demonstrated capability to work with broad-range of government and civil society stakeholders and partners.
  • Prior experience working on USAID or other donor-funded technical assistance projects strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, management and reporting skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English required.
