Position Summary:
The Acquisition Specialist will manage, implement and coordinate tasks related to acquisition of goods, services, and works for the implementation of the Alliance for the Honduras Dry Corridor project.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience working as an acquisition professional;
- Masters’ degree required, preferably in Management and Finance or area related to Project Management or Business Administration. Specifically, training in acquisition regulations and contract management is required;
- Broad knowledge and understanding of best practices in contracting, project administration and the monitoring and management of contracts;
- Demonstrated experience with international development partners and application of procurement guidelines and procedures, especially multinational banks;’
- Record of achievements and results in previous acquisition specialist roles;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; and
- Fluency in Spanish.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on World Bank projects.
